Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I am so happy to get to play in scavenger Hunt this week!
I have missed the last couple of weeks.  I have been so busy lately.
And This week I have been on vacation in California!

So here we go!

Black and White - Day #91
I only got a couple of photos of this guy.  I had my hubby pull over on the freeway
so I could get a shot of him. After I ran for awhile across a field to get closer to him,
I put my camera up to my face and it must have spooked
him.  I got off a couple of shots before he started running!

I Ate This!
I know I used this photo before, but I didn't get another shot!

But I wish I was eating this!

And I am glad  that I am not eating this!
Yuck!

Historic
This shot was taken at an Old Historic Mission call San Buenaventura in Ventrua, CA.

Off Center!
This is a shot of a yellow rose taken right here in the campground
where we are camping!

The End! - Day #89
At THE END of a long day all she wanted to do
was get a little nap in!  Oh who am I fooling,  She is almost 13
years old and she naps most of the time..  Yep both my kitties
 are camping with us!

Day #90
This is THE END of our camping trip today! We are leaving this beautiful
Lake and heading home..   We had a wonderful time!

Hello friends, So sorry that I haven't been by lately to say hi.
We are on vacation in central California..

Day #86
We are camping right on the Ocean.  So it was fun
taking some shots of these guys..

And these birds just look so funny just sitting there staring out
into the Ocean.  Hey that's what I love to do!

This shot was taken in an antique shop in Ventura..
I had some fun playing around with it..
Adding a texture.  I love the way it turned out.

And last night the sunset was gorgeous..

Day #85
Here is a shot of my Niece and my great Nephew.
Is he cute or what!

Day #83
Here is my little humming bird friend who loves to hang out
in our yard..  This is inches away for my back window..
he has never been this close before..  I guess he feels safe.
I wonder if he has seen my CATS...

Well I hope I get a chance to stop by and say hi soon...
and I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Some of my 365 day Photo's

Well here are some pretty random photo.
I always say to myself that I am going to try to
post my Daily shots every day..  But I just can't find the
time on most days..  I find myself spending more time
taking the photos and playing around with them on the computer,
than posting them..  And that's alright by me!
I always say if it make me happy it's alright!

Day #79

Last weekend we took a little trip up to Arizona to visit my in-laws.
And this is there beautiful kitty..  She look so sweet and Innocent.  But let me
tell you, don't you dare turn your back on her.  She is not as sweet as she looks.
But she does have the most beautiful eyes...

My MIL love her bird's..  She feed them.  On those hot summer days she keeps
Ice in there bird baths.  Now she is trying to find a way to heat the water in the winter..
I sat all morning watching these little guys play in the water..   I am surprised I got any
half way decent shots of them..  The sun was on the wrong side of them.. And every time
I tried to get around them they would all fly away!!

Day #80

This is a shot of a little plant my hubby bought in August..
I told him I didn't think it was going to last a month in the heat we
were having...   I was wrong!!!   It is still  hanging in there!

Day #81

So I must say I love!!!  Really LOVE!!!
My coffee.  And this is a photo of my favorite mug.  I got this mug
while I was on Vacation in Portland, Oregon..  And I use it almost every day.
It just makes me feel all warm and cozy.  Even in the middle of summer!

You won't believe this but while I was trying to take the photo of my Wonderful
coffee mug,  I looked out my kitchen window and a hummingbird was at the
feeder.  So I snapped off a shot.. The crazy thing is that I had my macro lens on..
The feeder is about 12 feet away..  Not the best shot, But not to bad either..

Day #82

Here is a photo of an old mason jar that sits in my kitchen window sill..
As you can tell I played around with it..   Do you think I over did it?

Well that's all I have for now!  But I will be back with
more photo for this 365 day journey I am on.

Thanks so much for stopping by..

The Sunday Creative...

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend..
Yes I am playing another week over with
The Sunday Creative.

Justine is hosting again this week and the word prompt is

LONELY

Lonely: 1. lone; solitary; without company, companionless. 2. remote from places of human habitation. 3. standing apart; isolated.

As you can see my shot is of a lonely leaf..  all by itself.

To take a look at the other entries you can head over to
Justine's Blog HERE!

Thanks Justine I really liked this weeks prompt..

Below are some photos I wanted to share.  I took them to
play along in this weeks scavenger hunt.  But I got a little to busy
this weekend I really couldn't finish getting all the shots..

Day #77

I have been taking Kim Klassen skinny mini eCourse.
And this is the photo that I had used to apply some of the
techniques she is teaching us.  I kinda like the way it turned out..
Now if I could only remember all the steps.  And yes this is
one of her textures I used.

Day #76

Well here is another photo I just could not get it right.  I think I must have
shot about 25 of these shots. Different angles. Different camera settings,
I really need to trust my histogram.
Once again I tried to play around with it to make it look better but no such luck..

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
And thanks so much for stopping by..

Live from Las Vegas...

Day #74

I grew up here in Las Vegas.  So going down to the strip or
to Fremont street is one of the thing some of us locals try to avoid..

Maybe we will wonder down there if we have guess in
town or if we work in a casino.

On this night I had gone down to Fremont Street to see If I could get some cool photos.

On this particular night it was so cold out. Some hot coffee to warm the soul sounded so good.

I don't know if you know this but I am taking a photography class.
And this was our assignment.  To get some shots of NEON lights.

All this sparkle and glitter really isn't my style..  So it was a little tough
for me to get some shots that I really Loved..

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my photo.
I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Aspiration...

This is the word prompt Justine has come up with for this week at

Aspiration

Aspiration 1. Strong desire, longing or aim; ambition. 2. A goal or objective desired. 3. Act of aspirating; breath.

This one was a tough one for me.  Not that I don't have any
Aspirations.  It was trying to get  a photo of one!

Day #73

Like I said this one had me stumped..  So I played around with
the word and added a little texture..
I guess if your really think about it, I guess I am
Aspiring to be a better photographer..  Yea! We will go with that!

Day #72
I got this shot at about 10:00 pm. last night..  When I realized I had
not pick up my camera..  So of course you get a bad shot of
my Cat.  No matter how much I played around with this
photo I could not get it to look good..

Thanks for stopping by!  If you want to see all the
other shots for The Sunday Creative just pop
on over to Justine's Blog

The Sunday Creative....

Day #66
I know I am a little late but I just wanted to play along with
The Sunday Creative.  Congrarts to Justine on Hosting for a couple
of weeks..  How exciting.

The Word Prompt this week in

OBSOLETE

I took this shot while pulling out of our campsite.  This tractor  sat there all
rusted and look like it had been abandoned for years..
Of course it is a John Deer and it was green,  But I
had a little fun playing around with it to make it look even older.
What do you think?

If you want to play along or just take a look at the other entries
you can go to Justine Blog  HERE!

Day #65
Here is a shot of my hubby on one of our favorite hikes in Zion.
"Angels Landing"
It is a tough one and I didn't think I was going to be up for the
hike. I had a pretty bad cold and the beginning of our trip but felt
pretty good the last couple of day so we gave it a try.  It is a tough
4 hour hike straight up with about a million switch back but we made it.
And the view was worth all the pain I am in today!
