Live from Las Vegas...

Day #74

I grew up here in Las Vegas.  So going down to the strip or
to Fremont street is one of the thing some of us locals try to avoid..

Maybe we will wonder down there if we have guess in
town or if we work in a casino.

On this night I had gone down to Fremont Street to see If I could get some cool photos.

On this particular night it was so cold out. Some hot coffee to warm the soul sounded so good.

I don't know if you know this but I am taking a photography class.
And this was our assignment.  To get some shots of NEON lights.

All this sparkle and glitter really isn't my style..  So it was a little tough
for me to get some shots that I really Loved..

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my photo.
I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Hugs, Linda

  1. wow! I have always wanted to go to las vegas, I love this set of shots - makes me want to go even more, what a great vibrant and colour world you have photographed, fantastic!

  2. You have done a fabulous job catching the vibrancy. The final shot is particularly effective. I really loved Las Vegas and you have really bought it to life here!

  3. cool photos...
love the one with the lady in her fancy hat.

i'd like to wear a hat like that once.
    just once.

  4. Great photos, Linda....but, too much hustle and bustle for this country girl. I grew up in a fairly large city on the ocean and it's ok to go back for a day but any more than than and I'm beside myself with the lights, noise and general busyness of it all.

  5. Well, what can I say, you know I love some "bling" (remember the bling watch?) Anyway, I think all of these are GREAT, and I don't know what you were "talking" about! I can't wait to go to the strip or downtown to "try" some myself. At least I hope I will have a reason to.
Awesome Vegas photos, from one Vegas gal to another!

  6. Great photos, the last one is stunning!

  7. These photos are really cool.
Randy and I go to the strips and fremont like twice every week, guess we are no localized yet, LOL! We just have a lot of favorite restaurant in various casino!

  8. Linda - these shot are so great! I love love love them!

  9. This is familiar territory to me. We live in Utah, and my extended family live in California, so we stop in Las Vegas numerous times a year. I have a little ongoing project called 'characters' where I photograph interesting people. The strip and Fremont Street are always a good place to find characters!!!!! Your exposure and colors are perfect in these images.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a message. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
