A day at the Park...

So today I am going to share with you some photo's

we took while we were at a Memorial Garden in Santa Barbara..

We were on our way to see the Mission and happen to run 

across this beautiful parks..  We just don't have parks like this in

Las Vegas. 

 I was so made I didn't have my tripod with me.

I just love seeing these magnolia trees.. 

We don't have these in Vegas either..

Having fun with my photo's...

I know like most of you, I love to play around with my photos.

I am definitely not that greatest with Photoshop and would love

to take some more classes on it..  

When I am looking around  at all your blogs I am

 truly amazed by what some of the editing you come up with.. 

It is so inspiring to me..


Day #294

This is 3rd street in Santa Monica, CA.

 I got this shot on our last vacation there..

I love these little cafe's they have in the middle of the street.. 

To me I think they look like they used to be old train stops..

I kinda wonder if they were..

This photo was not edited in photoshop. I do love to play with

Photoshop. But some time I just like to play in  Picasa and Picniks.

Depending on the what the photo is,  depends on were I like 

to play around with it..

Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

Good Morning!

I am so glad to be back this Sunday 

to Play along in Ashley's Scavenger Hunt..

Well I have to say this weeks words were so tough for me.

I almost didn't play.  I just felt like I could come up with any great shots..

So here is what I did come up with. 

Windows/Doors

I must have taken 100 shots of 

windows and doors.. And they all look like pooo.. 

So I pull this one from the archives.

  I love the way the building reflect on this window. 

Eyelashes

These Eyelashes belong to my sweet daughter..

Paint

I love playing around with my paints..

Leaf Vains

Well I am not to crazy about this shot..  

When I snapped these shots of leafs they looked kinda cool

on my camera,  But then I loaded them in my computer and they

look so ordinary..  They did nothing for me..   So I played around

with it a little.. OK a lot.. But I am still not that happy with it!

Faceless Portrait 

O.K. here is another shot I was not to happy with

but I am going with it..  And yes that is me kicking water in my pool!

Happy Friday!!

Day #291

Yea!  It's Friday!!

So do you have any plans for the weekend.. 

I am going to be quite busy.

Later this afternoon I am having a Birthday party for my sister-in-law..

Right here at my house..  It should be quite fun.. Lots of food, some swimming.

Lots of chatting with friends and family. 

I am looking forward to it.. 

Then early tomorrow it is off to Arizona to visit my Mom & Dad..

So even though its a busy weekend I am sure to enjoy it!!

So tell me....  What are your plans..

Life couldn't be sweeter....

I am the official Baby sitter for my sweet little grandson Myles.

And some may say I am crazy, but for me I couldn't be more happier..

So I get to see this bundle of Joy Monday thru Friday while My daughter and her

hubby are at work.   Yea!!!

So today Myles and I took a little trip to a local Nursery (for plants not babies)..

I forget all the stuff you have to pack just for a quick little trip..

Well him being only 2 months old slept through our whole adventure..

I even tried to wake him up,  With no luck..

Day #290

But he did wake up right when I pulled back into our driveway..

Just in time for a bottle..  Is that perfect timing or what!!

So I hope you don't mind but you will probably be seeing a lot more photo's

of this little guy..

I'm am back from our trip to the coast.

I sure can't wait to see what everyone has been up to..

This is Myles.  My Grandson..  He hardly ever cries..

 I sure do hope his Mom doesn't see this photo..

I swear I didn't pinch him..

I am pretty sure this is what my flowers see.. 

But I wonder if they see in color..

I thought it was perfect for this prompt..  It was shot from a railroad tunnel out at lake mead..

Picture Perfect....

I attended my Nephews Wedding a over a week ago
and brought my camera along.
One thing I know for sure now is that I need to get me a flash!
I really have been saying that for awhile.  But it was pretty dark at the wedding
so a good majority of my photos did not turn out!

This hall was decorated so beautiful..

Every rose was in its place!

The cake even tasted better than it looked.

Is that  even possible.

She was so Beautiful!

This is the part when the hankies came out!!

This was a little game the D.J. was playing..

I really don't don't think she was to happy about it!

I can't believe my nephew is all grown up and married.. 

Is she too cute..  She did not let go of that basket all night..

O.K. I want to know who invited these goof balls..
(My sister and Niece and her hubby!)

Well fun was had by all..
It was a beautiful wedding..

Bring on the rain....

As I am sitting here this morning on my patio

drinking my coffee, I just got to thinking how wonderful

It would be if we could get some rain.. 

Day #286

I know to some of you are thinking I am crazy..

But living here in the desert we don't get much of the wet

stuff..  And I just love everything about it.. 

The smell, The sound of it hitting my roof..

A great reason to sit inside and read a good book while sipping tea..

Oh how I love the rain.. 

How about you?

No this isn't the rain..  Sad to say one of my sprinkler heads

broke and I just love the way the water was sparkling in the light.. 

Maybe one day I will move to where it rains more.. 

But then of course I will say.. I want the sunshine.. 

I am so fickle that way.. 

So if you don't see me around much this week it's because my husband and

me are taking our trailer down to the ocean..  That's another whole story

about a whole different LOVE..

I have been out of town, but managed to get my scavenger hunt photos done
early this week.


So here is what I came up with for this week..


Long Exposure

I really wanted to go down to the Las Vegas strip and get some cool
shots but really didn't have time to get down there..  But it is on my
"things to do" list..  So this is nothing to spectacular..  Just a shot of an
intersection not to far from my house.. Whoop deee doo...
It is kinda cool how the red light and green light both show up..





Shapes

I really couldn't come up with anything for this shot..
So you get to see the cute little shape of my grandsons hand..





Green

Some green tea in one of my favorite mugs..
Which is also a little green!!




Fruit

A lime is a fruit, RIGHT.





Childhood Memories

On our last camping trip I caught a shot of these guys
trying to decide what to do..  I definitely brought back some
memories of when I was little and my parents would take us camping..
Such great memories..  I guess that is why I still love to camp today!
